The beads are cool and uniformly dark, each one engraved with characters so fine they read as texture before they read as script.
Om Mani Padme Hum is the six-syllable mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, and among the most widely recited mantras in Tibetan and broader Himalayan Buddhist traditions. Black agate is a banded variety of chalcedony; it has been used in amulets and protective objects across multiple cultures, and in Buddhist contexts it is associated with grounding and protection against harm.
This bracelet mala is made from natural black agate beads, each individually engraved with the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum directly into the stone surface. The bracelet is strung on elastic cord for ease of wear. The beads are smooth and polished to a consistent finish, uniform in size, and sit evenly when worn on the wrist. The full six-syllable mantra appears on every bead in the bracelet.
Material: natural black agate beads, elastic cord. Bead diameter and internal bracelet circumference are available from the seller on request. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid sustained contact with water and harsh chemical products, as these will weaken the elastic cord and can dull the surface polish of the stone over time.
Each bracelet is assembled by hand. It can be worn as jewelry or used as a counting aid during shorter mantra recitation practices.
