A moonstone amethyst mala bracelet rests close against the wrist, carrying the weight of 27 stones in a sequence worn and counted throughout the day. Pale blue-white moonstone alternates with deep violet amethyst in a proportioned strand that draws both the eye and the hand.

Moonstone has been sourced from the shores of Sri Lanka for over two thousand years, prized across Hindu and Buddhist traditions for its adularescent surface, which appears to hold light inside the stone. Amethyst, found in Vedic manuscripts and Buddhist monastic inventories, was mined across the Deccan plateau and the riverbeds of southern India long before it reached European collections. This bracelet was hand-knotted in Jaipur, where gem artisans working in family workshops have maintained mala construction across multiple generations, following bead counts drawn from classical Indian and Tibetan practice.

The bracelet holds 27 beads, one quarter of the traditional 108-count mala, sized for wrist circumference of 16 to 18cm. Each bead measures 8mm in diameter, hand-knotted individually on natural silk thread. The guru bead carries a small cotton tassel. Moonstone beads show natural adularescence: a blue-white shimmer visible when light crosses the surface at an angle. Amethyst beads range from pale lavender to deep violet, reflecting natural variation in the source stone. No two bracelets are identical.
