Description

The feng shui dragon jade pendant is carved from 100% natural jade, a stone worked continuously in China for over five thousand years. The dragon, the most charged symbol in East Asian iconography, is rendered in relief from a material that carries equal symbolic weight: jade was reserved for emperors and high priests, its green considered the color of heaven on earth.

Hand-carved by a master artisan, this pendant raises the dragon’s form from the stone’s surface in relief, with scaled body, clawed feet, and curving tail rendered in precise detail. Natural jade varies from pale celadon to deep forest green, with veining and translucency unique to each individual stone. The pendant measures 52 by 32 by 10 millimetres and weighs approximately 8 to 15 grams. The stone has not been dyed or treated. The pendant arrives with a cord necklace included.

Wear this pendant on the included cord or replace it with a chain suited to the weight. In feng shui practice, the dragon is placed in the eastern sector of a space or worn to activate yang energy and forward movement. As a pendant, it keeps the symbol in constant proximity, associated in Chinese tradition with protection of the household and accumulation of good fortune.

In East Asian culture, the dragon is a guardian: a symbol of imperial authority, longevity, and the power to move between realms. Feng shui tradition places the dragon in the east, associated with yang energy, forward movement, and household protection. The combination of dragon and jade, two of Chinese civilization’s most charged symbols, creates an object with deep iconographic resonance, a lineage that extends from Han Dynasty burial goods to contemporary protective jewelry.

How can I tell if my jade pendant is natural or dyed? Natural jade shows subtle variation in color and translucency across the stone’s surface, with no sharp color boundaries. Dyed jade often shows uneven color concentration in surface cracks. This pendant is certified as 100% natural, untreated jade; if in doubt, a gemologist can confirm natural stone using a spectroscope test.
