Description

Warm red light appears to come from within the piece, as though the source of it sits deeper than the surface.

The crimson sunset draws its visual character from the final hour of daylight — the particular intensity of red and amber that builds at the horizon as the sun drops, the way color saturates the sky from below before it fades entirely. The palette is warm and high-contrast: deep crimson, burnt orange, and streaks of golden yellow that cut through a dense atmosphere. It is a color event that lasts minutes; the pendant holds it as a fixed, wearable moment.

The pendant is cast by hand with natural wood and red-toned resin in a layered construction. Warm pigments — deep red, amber, and orange — are introduced into clear resin at successive stages of the pour, building internal texture that mimics the streaked, variable quality of a sky at dusk. The wood contributes structural integrity and visible natural texture to the underside of the piece. Internal variation in the pigment layers ensures each pendant differs from the next.
