Guanyu is one of the most venerated figures in Chinese religious and cultural tradition. A historical general of the Eastern Han dynasty, he was deified over centuries and is now worshipped across Taoist, Buddhist, and folk religious contexts as a protector of homes, businesses, and travelers. In Feng Shui practice, his image is placed facing the entrance of a space to deflect harmful forces. The Om Mani Padme Hum mantra, the six-syllable formula of Avalokiteśvara, originates in Tibetan Buddhist tradition and is among the most widely repeated mantras in Asia.

This pendant combines the figure of Guanyu with the Om Mani Padme Hum mantra in a single handcrafted piece. It is made from a base metal core with a 999 silver-plate finish, a technique that provides the appearance and sheen of fine silver while keeping the piece lightweight. The armored figure is cast and the six-syllable mantra is engraved on the reverse face.
