Description

The heart sutra engraved ring carries one of the oldest texts in Buddhist practice pressed into a band of pure silver 999. It settles on the finger with a quiet certainty that few objects achieve.

The Heart Sutra originates from the Prajnaparamita canon, compiled in India between the first and third centuries CE and translated into Chinese by the monk Xuanzang in 649 CE. That translation became the standard recitation across East Asia, memorized by monastics and laypeople alike for over thirteen centuries. The sutra compresses the teaching on emptiness into 260 Chinese characters, making it both a devotional text and a philosophical cornerstone of Mahayana Buddhism.
