Traditional Chinese Folding Fan – White Peony Garden

The composition here is the most abundant in the range: rose and magenta peonies massed in overlapping clusters across the full white-cream ground, their density communicating the kind of horticultural generosity associated with high summer in a classical Chinese garden. Purple asters and small pink cherry blossoms fill the interstices, so that no part of the silk reads as negative space.

The white ground prevents the fullness from becoming heavy — it keeps each flower distinct and readable even at the centre of the densest grouping. This is the fan for occasions that require presence: a formal table centrepiece, a wedding backdrop photograph, a gift for someone who does not do restraint.
