The rhodonite palm stone is an egg-shaped worry stone hand-polished from natural Ural rhodonite, used in crystal healing practices and mindfulness rituals as a grounding object for the hands.
Rhodonite is a manganese silicate mineral first documented in the Ural Mountains in the eighteenth century, where Russian craftsmen called it ‘orlets’ and used it to decorate vases, columns, and decorative objects in the imperial residences of Saint Petersburg. This particular stone is shaped into a smooth oval form and polished by hand to a satin finish that reveals the full depth of its deep pink tones, characteristically veined with dark manganese oxide. Its hardness ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, giving it good resistance to everyday wear. The stone measures approximately 4 to 5 cm tall with a diameter of around 3 cm, and each piece varies slightly in weight.
