The ovoid form settles into the palm with a satisfying weight, its surface cool and perfectly smooth, warming gradually to skin temperature as the hand closes around it.
Jade has occupied a central place in Chinese material culture for more than five thousand years. Revered far beyond its decorative value, it was worked into ritual objects, ornaments, and personal pieces carried close to the body. Pale, translucent varieties were particularly prized, associated in classical Chinese thought with moral clarity, purity, and restraint.
This egg-shaped stone is cut from natural white jade and polished to a glassy finish that reveals the material’s subtle translucency. White jade ranges from near-opaque to softly luminous depending on density and mineral composition. The ovoid form carries no sharp edges or facets — only a continuous, seamless curve that responds readily to touch.
The stone measures approximately 4 to 5 centimetres in length and sits comfortably within a closed hand. It is presented as a standalone polished palm stone, without cord or pendant mount, in natural white jade.
