The Mystica Violet Sand Storm pendant holds a landscape in suspension: violet-pigmented particulate matter sealed within clear casting resin above a sandalwood base, the storm frozen mid-motion in a form small enough to close in one hand. It is part of the Mystica series of individually poured resin landscape objects.
The pendant measures approximately 4 centimeters tall and 2.5 centimeters wide. The resin dome is clear, UV-stabilized to resist yellowing under normal conditions. Inside, violet pigment suspended at pour time shifts with movement, creating the impression of a sandstorm caught in its moment of maximum force. The sandalwood base is cut and sanded smooth, its grain visible beneath a light finish that does not fully seal the wood. A bail is set into the resin top; an adjustable cord is included. Weight is approximately 15 to 20 grams. Because the pigment suspension is unrepeatable at each pour, no two pieces are identical in their interior distribution of violet.
The Mystica Violet Sand Storm is worn on the included adjustable cord as a chest pendant, or placed on a desk or shelf as a small display object. As a pendant, it sits naturally at mid-chest length. As a tabletop object, it is most effective in a position where natural light reaches the resin from the side, allowing the interior violet suspension to become visible in depth rather than as a surface color.

Will the violet color fade inside the resin? The pigments used in Mystica pendants are sealed within UV-stabilized resin, which protects them from the bleaching effect of direct sunlight more effectively than surface-applied color. Under normal conditions of indoor wear and display, the violet suspension will not fade. Avoid sustained storage in direct sunlight as a precaution.
