Description
The Mystica Ice Storm Pendant is a handcrafted resin pendant that captures a miniature frozen landscape within its approximately 4 cm diameter dome. Part of the Mystica artisan series from Southeast Asia, it is worn as a conversation piece or carried as a personal talisman, valued for its one-of-a-kind visual depth.
Each pendant is constructed with a clear resin dome sealed over a sandalwood base, with white, silver, and grey mineral pigments suspended mid-pour to simulate swirling ice crystals caught at the moment of a storm. Because the pigment settles differently in every casting, no two pieces are identical. The pendant is lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear, supplied with a cord that can be swapped for a chain.
Wear it on the supplied cord as a pendant resting at the collar or chest, or thread it onto a fine silver or gold chain for a more refined look. The sandalwood base adds a faint natural scent when the piece is first worn, which fades gently over weeks of use. It suits both casual and dressed-up styling.
The Mystica series draws on Southeast Asian lapidary and resin craft traditions in which artisans have long encased organic and mineral matter inside protective resin to preserve fleeting natural forms. The ice storm aesthetic references northern landscape painting conventions, reinterpreted through a craft medium accessible to everyday wear.
Will the cord supplied hold the pendant securely? Yes: the cord is finished with an adjustable sliding knot that seats firmly against the bail, and the bail itself is bonded to the sandalwood base during curing, not glued afterward, so it will not detach under normal wear.
