Description

The color of heat held in matter after the flame has gone — deep orange moving through amber, copper, and dark red — is the visual register this pendant occupies.

Fire as a subject in decorative craft appears across cultures and eras not for its danger but for the quality of its light: the way warm color can suggest heat without temperature, and how its depth shifts as the source dims. Resin casting is well suited to this reference because it can hold color at multiple depths simultaneously within a single cast object.

The pendant is made from natural wood and pigmented resin, worked together by hand. The resin is applied and set in layers, producing the internal luminosity characteristic of the Mystica series. Deep amber, copper, and smoldering auburn tones are distributed through the resin’s depth, so the piece reads differently in different light. The wood grain remains visible within the finished object, running alongside the warm resin tones.

Dimensions vary between pieces, as each is cast and finished by hand without standardization. The materials are natural wood and cast resin. Care: avoid prolonged water contact and limit exposure to direct sunlight, which can affect warm resin tones over time. A chain or cord is sold separately and not included.
