The galaxy universe glass bead bracelet centers on a hand-blown borosilicate glass sphere, approximately 20 to 22mm in diameter, that holds one or two miniature planet-shaped glass orbs suspended inside it. The sphere itself contains a spiral galaxy pattern built into the glass during the blowing process, creating the visual effect of a small universe on the wrist. This space jewelry comes in eight color variants, from cobalt blue to black void to aurora iridescent.
Each sphere is made by lampworking: a glassworker heats borosilicate glass rod over a focused flame, shapes the gather by breath and tool, and introduces the interior planet orbs by placing them into the molten gather before it closes. The spiral galaxy pattern is formed by manipulating internal layers of colored glass before the sphere is sealed. Because the orb placement and the layering sequence are done by hand, no two spheres are identical. The technique traces to Chinese glass bead workshops that have produced glass orbs for international collectors since the late twentieth century.
The focal sphere mounts on an adjustable black braided nylon cord that fits wrist circumferences from 12 to 26cm. Two glass accent beads flank the sphere, color-matched to the variant.
