The blown glass constellation pendant captures light the way night sky does: from the inside out. Color blooms through the glass in drifts, each formation unique, each refraction its own event.

Glass blowing at temperatures above 1000°C has been practiced in China and Southeast Asia for centuries, with masters spending decades learning to control how molten glass moves, layers, and traps light. The constellation-inspired forms in this series reference the long tradition of celestial observation embedded in East Asian craft, where cosmological motifs have appeared on ceramics, bronzes, and woven silks for more than two thousand years. Each pendant is the work of a single artisan blowing free-form, without molds.

Each pendant is formed from a single gather of borosilicate glass, blown and shaped by hand in a single session. The diameter ranges from 20mm to 35mm depending on the model, with glass thickness between 1.5mm and 3mm at the dome wall. Internal color fields are created by introducing powdered mineral pigments during the blow, which then fuse permanently into the body of the glass. A small sterling silver eyelet is fused into the neck of the pendant during the final blow. Weight varies between 5 and 12 grams.
