The four cakes come from two of Yunnan’s most recognized pu-erh growing regions. Bingdao sits in the Mengku growing area of Lincang, known for a sweetness that lingers and rises after the first few infusions. Lao Ban Zhang, in Menghai, is one of the most sought after old growth areas in the province, prized for a fuller body and a pronounced huigan, the sweetness that returns in the throat after swallowing. Each region is offered in both raw (sheng) and ripe (shou) form, so the box moves across the full range of what pu-erh can taste like from a single terroir comparison.

Each cake is pressed to 50 grams and individually paper wrapped inside the outer gift box, four cakes in total. The compressed leaf holds its shape without crumbling, ready to break apart by hand at the edge for brewing.
